We would like to convey our deep condolences and sympathy to the victims
of earthquake and tsunami and to those who lost their loved ones and utter
their hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to all the people of Japan. Special
condolences to our Sendai branch which has been majorly affected by the
destruction.
Exhibition 2011 to be postponed:
The whole Team was working already on the new exhibition-theme for the
year 2011. While there are still many pains to be cured and issues to be
solved, we have decided to postpone our exhibition this year. However,
we wish to pray for the revival of New Tohoku and we would like to have
our exhibition in Sendai in near future!
New project with Romanian Youngsters:
Since 2010 we started a project abroad with Romanian Youngsters of "Asociatia
Speranta Constanta". Since several months the youngsters are learning
the Lace technique and they are really into it. They are learning with
joy and big interest. It is wonderful for us to receive continuously reports
from them and to follow their progress by pictures and letters which we
get by mail. This project will bring all of us a lot of cheerful experiences
and hopefully it will last a long time. Our sincere thanks is going to
Dr. Matusa & her co-workers, and all youngsters who are keeping this
project going with big inspiration. They have also invited any victims of the JRLA to stay at their home for
one year with their deep sympathy to them. We truly thank them all for
their kind thoughts for us.
